Since 1995
Who We Are
Formerly a casting division of Sasha Primak Jewelry, Platina was built on a philosophy of always putting customers first.
Our story
The premier name in precious metals casting
Platina first opened its doors to the jewelry trade in the summer of 1995. Since then we have become the premier name in precious metals casting, servicing hundreds of jewelry manufacturers, designers and manufacturing retailers nationwide.
Our name means platinum in Spanish, but our casting scope includes all popular colors and purities of gold, silver, platinum and palladium. Our alloys are the best available in every category of metals, each suited for a specific task, many developed right here at Platina. Chances are we can improve your manufacturing just by recommending a better alloy. And if we don't have the color of metal you want, we may develop it just for you.
Always at the forefront of technological development, Platina was one of the first casting houses to offer CAD/CAM services in 2005. The philosophy of putting customers first has been our unwavering trademark since the early days: no job is ever complete until the customer is happy.
Platina has no jewelry line and does not finish jewelry for its clients. However, we have relationships with high-end finishing firms in New York and have been able to put together one-stop services for clients needing them. If interested in one-stop services, please contact us at info@platina.com.
Responsible sourcing
Social & Environmental Sustainability
Precious metals are often sourced from the poorest, most remote countries, where social and environmental abuses often go unchecked. We at Platina are doing our part to stop these practices through consumer demand.
Platina joined other forward-thinking companies like Johnson Matthey and Tiffany in a global effort to acquire platinum, silver and gold only from mining operators that have shown dedication to sustained responsible mining. We purchase metals known to have come from mines that demonstrate high standards of social and environmental performance: no child labor, a high level of Earth stewardship and excellent safety records.
